About Brighton Beach Junior Football Club
Established in 2009 as a standalone junior community football club in the Bayside region of Melbourne, Brighton Beach JFC aims to create an enjoyable, welcoming and friendly environment for boys and girls to participate in Australian Rules Football.
Known as the 'Kangaroos', the club runs the introductory Auskick program and competes in the South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL). Volunteers and local families are the backbone of the club.
The club's home ground is William Street Reserve (corner of William St and Halifax St) in Brighton, having relocated to the redeveloped ground in 2025 after using Brighton Beach Oval on South Road as the club's home base for many years.
In season 2026, BBJFC is fielding teams in the following age groups:
- U8 Boys
- U9 Boys, U9 Girls
- U10 Boys, U10 Girls
- U11 Boys, U11 Girls
- U12 Boys, U12 Girls
- U14 Girls
- U16 Girls
